It can display latitude and longitude at operator's location using it's GPS function. RICOH ENHANCED BINOCULARS is equipped with GPS functionality and an electronic compass that enable location information using latitude and longitude to the image from the location where the image was recorded. After recording, it is possible to manage images by location based information. This can be particularly efficient for recording images at sea; where, because of no landmarks, it is difficult to find the exact location where the image was recorded.
RICOH ENHANCED BINOCULARS prevents image degradation from the operator's movement by using an image stabilizer. It is possible to clearly see objects even when they are at long distances and the unit is being held by hand.

Ricoh has implemented an imaging display with high contrast using high-definition organic EL display technology.
Big buttons are adapted to be used easily, in case gloves are worn. In addition, rubber materials are used partly in order not to slip. It was designed not to be outstanding from objects for view by reining brilliance and color. By using large well-spaced buttons, Ricoh has made the binocular easy to use while wearing gloves. Additionally, the material used is no-slip rubber specifically designed for traction and by using subdued colors, the unit will not stand out or give away the users position.
